Moquette is an intimate, elevated neighborhood cocktail bar in the heart of Scarsdale. We're passionate about exceptional cocktails, thoughtful hospitality, and creating an atmosphere where guests can settle in, enjoy a great drink, and forget about their phones for a while.

We take our cocktails seriously. Ourselves? Not so much.

Our approach is rooted in classic cocktail culture, quality ingredients, precise technique, and a genuine appreciation for the art of bartending.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced, knowledgeable cocktail bartender to join our team on a part-time basis.

This is not an entry-level bartending position . We're seeking someone with a strong foundation in classic cocktails, a genuine understanding of mixology, and the confidence to work independently behind a craft cocktail bar.

The ideal candidate knows their way around a mixing glass, understands the importance of balance and dilution, and can comfortably guide a guest through everything from a perfectly executed Manhattan to something a little more adventurous.

Equally important, you should enjoy hospitality. We're looking for someone personable, attentive, and capable of creating a welcoming experience without making cocktail culture feel intimidating.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of professional bartending experience , preferably in a craft cocktail bar, upscale restaurant, or similarly elevated hospitality environment.

• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails — their ingredients, proportions, preparation methods, and variations.

• A solid understanding of spirits, liqueurs, bitters, modifiers, and how different ingredients work together.

• Proficiency in essential cocktail techniques, including stirring, shaking, proper dilution, straining, garnishing, and presentation.

• The ability to execute cocktails consistently, efficiently, and accurately, even during busy service.

• Confidence making thoughtful cocktail recommendations and adapting drinks to individual guest preferences.

• A genuine appreciation for hospitality, attention to detail, and maintaining a clean, organized, professional bar.

• Reliability, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative attitude.

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve classic and house cocktails to consistently high standards.

• Provide warm, attentive, knowledgeable service to guests at the bar and throughout the space.

• Maintain familiarity with our cocktail program, spirits selection, craft beers, and New York ciders.

• Assist with cocktail preparation, batching, garnishes, inventory, and maintaining an organized bar.

• Follow established recipes and service standards while contributing ideas and expertise when appropriate.

• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.

• Work closely with our small team to deliver a seamless guest experience.
