Job Summary

We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Certified Medical Coder focusing on outpatient coding. The ideal candidate will accurately code outpatient medical records, ensure compliance with federal, payer, and facility coding guidelines, and support coding quality and accuracy within the organization.

 

Job Description

• Medical coding in an acute care setting
• Utilize coding systems and tools, including ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4, and encoder software
• Knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, federal billing guidelines
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes.
• Ability to research coding related issues
• Competence in coder training

 

Skills Required

• Minimum 3 years of outpatient coding experience.
• Need someone who has Emergency Department coding experience
• Seeking certified coder with a strong inpatient coding background as well
• Must have 3M experience
• Candidate should be able to work with minimal training

 

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma/GED

• CCS, CCP, RHIA or RHIT certification must be from AHIMA

 

Additional Requirements

• Shift: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
• Work Arrangement: Candidate must be comfortable working one weekend (Saturday or Sunday)

 

Pay Rate

• $32–$38 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
